As children, we spent as much time outside as possible. Blaine in the plains of Texas and Laney in the intermountain West and Pacific Northwest. With vivid imaginations, we recreated environments from favorite books and movies. We both spent time gardening, camping, and exploring.
As we grew up and became adults we longed for more time out in nature and would take advantage of every chance we had outside. On vacations we always found ourselves pulled to botanical gardens, aviaries, zoos, reserves, and parks.
Moving to Central Texas really ignited the embers of exploring the outdoors. We take the time to look around at all the wildlife that surrounds us. From waterfowl and raptors to armadillos and lizards. There’s no shortage of the natural world to explore.
We also enjoy trying new things and learning about other cultures. Nothing is better on a vacation than exploring outside the touristy areas to see how the locals live and thrive.
We know there are other people like us, who want to learn, explore, and share their experiences. Come join us on that journey as A Porter Explorer!
